Since we opened our Norwich shop two years ago, one of the questions we’re asked the most is – ‘Do you do cookery classes?’
For 4 years we made all of our cakes in a tiny unit in rural Norfolk. During 2014 it became difficult for us to keep up with demand both in the shop and from our wholesale and online customers – a good problem to have! Needing more space for the day-to-day baking and wanting to offer classes, we moved the bakery to our new site in central Norwich. With the support of brilliant sponsors, including Belling, Magimix and Kenwood we opened our new bakery in January 2015.
The Macarons & More Cookery School is based in the heart of our Norwich bakery. We run informal classes for keen amateurs. These hands-on classes give you the opportunity to learn new skills.
Led by Tim Kinnaird and the Macarons & More team, each participant has their own work station and equipment, allowing you to quickly learn new techniques and recipes.
Patisserie is about building blocks of texture, flavour and decoration. The components are often easily created but when assembled give the illusion of overall complexity. Our courses cover those building blocks and will help you create beautiful and delicious cakes, bakes and other treats at home.
